Today at NYCC, Marvel announced Destroyer MAX, a 5-issue miniseries by Robert Kirkman and myself. For more preview art, check out Kirkman's blog here, and read an interview with Bobby boy about the book here.
I have no idea who this guy is, but the moment I saw that shot of him punching through someone's head, his place was immediately cemented in my list of characters to look out for.
Love the art thus far. Can't wait to see the actual book. Judging by all the blood and guts in the sketches and pages being shown thus far, you guys are really earning that MAX logo that's gonna be on the book. Consider me already chomping at the bit to get my hands on Destroyer #1.
This looks insanely awesome!!! The scull logo on the vest is great and the colors work really well with the costume. I'll most definitely be picking this up!
This is awesome! Im all over this. Hehe I like the pics with a hammer stuck in his back :D I also dig kirkmans idea of starting the whole thing at issure 700. Its original as far as my knowledge goes.
Looks really great! I can't wait for it. The little details you add amaze me. I mean do you find reference for pouches that button like that or do you just design that stuff on the spot? You have the best accessories.

My favorite thing is how seamlessly you incorporated the stripe motif of the original design. Good jaerb.

Nice. I'll be watching for the series.
I remember seeing this guy a long time ago in some comic and I always wondered what he was all about.

Wow. You guys just made my day! It's good to see you on a 5 issue run.
The first run of comics I read was the Invaders series. Destroyer was a chracter that showed up once or twice, and I always loved his costume.
I guess it's too late to reconsider giving him striped pants?
