I've been following the blog/your work for some time now and really appreciate your work. I was hoping you didn't mind answering some questions as to your process? I see (from a previous post) that you use manga studio. I had a few questions regarding specifically the brush settings. Are you using different brushes for tapering, non-tapering, and square-ish beginning and ending lines? A single brush with simply adjusting sizes? None of the above? I'm also curious if you ink with lower opacity (when inking digitally) so you can see how all the lines are connecting?
Lastly I wondered if you used a specific nib with the pen when working digitally. Compared to paper I feel the nib tends to slide around much more, even with a scratch guard. Your lines are structured and forceful(in their way) and I would think you might have solved this problem for inking digitally.

If you wouldn't mind answering any of these questions I'm curious to hear what they might be. Thanks for reading and thanks for posting your work!

Conor- I use just one pen tool, but change the size as needed. Tapering(or lack thereof), square-ish edges, etc. are all a matter of varied pressure. I do not ink at a lower opacity. Not really sure I understand what the benefit would be, sorry.

I use the hard felt nib. It's not perfect, but better, than the hard plastic, slick-as-shit nib. Still requires a great deal of control, but that comes with practice.

Hope that helps!
